यस्मात्क्षरमतीतोऽहमक्षरादपि चोत्तमः ।अतोऽस्मि लोके वेदे च प्रथितः पुरुषोत्तमः ॥ १५.१८ ॥
yasmat ksharam atito 'ham aksharad api chottamah ato 'smi loke vede cha prathitah purushottamah

क्योंकि मैं क्षर से परे हूँ और अक्षर से भी श्रेष्ठ हूँ, इसलिए लोक में और वेदों में मैं पुरुषोत्तम के नाम से विख्यात हूँ।
English
Because I transcend the perishable and am also superior to the imperishable, I am celebrated in the world and in the Vedas as the Supreme Person, Purushottama.
